I have a list of weird symptoms...any ideas???

Okay guys, buckle up...let me take you for a ride.

A little about me. I'm 32. I was diagnosed with GERD a year and a half ago. I was put on Omeprazole. Other than that I've always been healthy. I workout 5-6 times a week. Before a month or two ago, my diet wasn't the best...but it was better than it was as the GERD forced me to stop caffeine, lower the amount of deep fried foods I ate, etc.

My main issues seem to have all kinda began about 3 months ago. I got a tingling sensation all over my body. It was in my hands, forearms, upper arms, legs, feet, torso, face, etc. Went to the doctor, he thought maybe it was a vitamin deficiency since I was on a very high dose of Omeprazole. (80 mg a day to be exact.) After that appointment, I started weaning myself off the Omeprazole and for the last month I've been completely off of it. As time went on, the tingling would morph to new locations...at times, when my stress levels were really low, I didn't feel any tingles...so I thought that maybe it was anxiety related.

Cut to now, what I'm currently dealing with is some very minor tingling in the hands and feet...a lot of times it feels as though it is position based as when I move, it'll stop or lessen. I sometimes wake up to my hands feeling kinda numb and they feel "plump" for lack of a better word. I move them around and they return to normal. After I finish a workout and I'm walking to my car, I feel great...no real symptoms. But, slowly I'll feel some minor tingling throughout the day. My hands also get really cold when I'm at work. My thumb nails look kinda sorta purplish right above the "moon" part of the nail bed. And the past week I've had this kinda metallic taste on my tongue. Like I was licking a battery.

My doctor seems to think it all might be anxiety related, which I believe as I have really bad health anxiety. My biggest fear is something like MS. I also thought maybe it could be the beginnings of Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I don't know, I'm really at a loss here.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hello~I, too, think it could mainly be due to stress and anxiety, so many anxiety symptoms cause people to fear MS. I have a blog that shares all the symptoms of anxiety, you can read it by going to my home page and clicking on the article.

Another possibility for the tingling, etc, could be pinched nerves or misplaced vertebrae in your spine, seeing a chiropractor might be beneficial as well. He/she will take some x-rays, study them, and discuss you what is wrong and a plan of action. After a few treatments, most people start to feel a lot better.
