How could I be sick for 2 months?

First I had strep and took antibiotic. Then bronchitis and took antibiotic. Then went to dr for high fever and feeling awful and took antibiotic. I am weak, dizzy, sick to stomach and no appetite. I can barely function. The kicker is my boyfriend is sick too and been off work for 3 weeks. He has had 3 antibiotics and 2 antibiotic shots and still sick. HELP

It has to be frustrating to be sick for so long!  Really, I get that.  Coughs in particular can linger a very long time and months like that.  Once the air ways get irritated, they take a long time to get back to normal.  Sigh.  It's not easy!

Well, if the antibiotics didn't or aren't working . . . chances are you really have a virus and not something antibiotics work on.  People often do have a hard time telling them apart. I doubt you have a resistant strain of bacteria that three or two antibiotics wouldn't touch.  So, give it some time to see if the virus finally goes.  OR, you could have a virus, then got bronchitis, then got another virus, etc.  I swear this happened to me when my kids were in the elementary years.  We were sick for about a solid three months one year.  Very frustrating I know.  Ibuprofen works for fever and pain relief, drink tea, eat popsicles, jello, hot apple juice, etc.  Chicken noodle soup really does give comfort.  :>)  Hope you feel better soon.
