chronic abdominal distenitotion

I have had abdominal distention that wont go away for months now and can't figure out what it is. I have had upper and lower scope and CT w contrast .  Everything is negative so I'm still searching for answers.  I had a tummy tuck a little over a year ago and I was wondering if it was something to do with the surgery. I returned to the plastic surgeon and he said he thought it was due to hormones or gluten.  I have had issues with my stomach since the surgery and its never been quite right. He did a couple of injections shortly after the surgery and then did more lipo to try and make it look better. I just don't know where to go next . My mom had ovarian cancer so that has also been a concern but my gynecologist just keeps telling me to take probiotic which I do daily. Please tell me what to do next????  Thank you

I agree with SassyLassie. Also, it might be endometriosis. It is very common and can cause chronic abdominal distention.  It can't be seen on a CT scan or ultrasound. Look up the symptoms and ask a doctor.

Hello,

Has your gyn done any ultra sounds to see if this is ovarian or other female organ, related. It does not have to be cancer, even benign growths can cause some tummy swelling at times. I would see another gyn and ask for some tests.

In the meantime, yes, try taking a good, high potency probiotic to put the friendly bacteria in your tummy. Cut all gluten containing foods to see if this helps also.
