Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you are not on any medications like anticoagulants, blood thinners or birth control pills then this could be due to clotting disorders, low platelet count, fragile spider veins, deep vein thrombus, deficiency of Vitamin B12, folic acid, or Vit K, a liver disease or certain cancers. It could also be due to pressure urticaria. If you are on medications then you need to discuss that with your doctor.
The other possibility is that they are not bruise by petechiae. Petechiae are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. The commonest cause of petechiae is a low platelet count (thrombocytopenia). They can also result from autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, inflammation of the veins, as a side effect of certain medications, viral infections, such as EBV and septicemia or infection in blood. A complete blood count, urine examination and a blood culture may be required to reach a diagnosis.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Hope this helps. Take care!

Women are more likely to bruise easier then men. Can be due to increasing age and also can be affected by taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, Ginko or even fish oil.  I would get this checked out if it has been going on longer than a 2 week period.

I had this once!! OMG there was seriously bruises all over my legs- didn't hurt but there was alot of them.. It was strep infection, it's a form of strep. Go to the doctors, you'll get blood work & thats how they find out if this is what you have. You'll take some anti-biotics & it will go away. Hope this helps!

I would see a dr to get checked out.  You may have something in your body causing your blood to thin and making your skin bruise a lot easier.  I don't want to alarm you, but my brother was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 18 months old.  They knew something was wrong bc he kept getting bruises very easily.  I'm sure there are many different reasons that would cause bruising, but I just figured you might want to know one of them.  Good luck and keep me posted.
