bulge in center of abdomen

I was lying down and sat up a little, sort of little doing a situp and noticed a bulge in the center of my abdomen that starts just below the rib cage and goes down to about 2 inches above the belly button.  The bulge is about 2 inches wide.  I have had bad indigestion for a long time and the doctor has me on a precription for that.  Also, when I eat lately I seem to, if I don't sit down and rest for about 15 mins, start gaging and feeling like I am going to throw up. But that goes away if I sit and rest.  On occassion I have a little burning sensation in my stomach area but it is very light.  The bulge is not sore or pulsing at all.  I can't even see it or feel it, if I am standing or just sitting.  I have to do like a situp to even see it.  What could this be?

It sounds like a hernia but if its not hurting idk. Try pushing on it and seeing if it "goes back in place" so to speak. It probably won't stay there but if it goes back it might be a hernia in which case if its that large you should see a doctor about if. And if it doesn't go back it might be something else. Dangerous or not idk. But you should see a doctor either way.
