I too have buring mouth as well as sinus and post nasal drip problems.  I have been to alergists, ENT's was tested for GERD and have tried everything.  I believe now that it is hormonal and caused by the coming of menopause. Every symptom I have can be attributed to peri-menoopause so I am self treating with vitamins and progesterone cream.  After one month I feel no better ut was told it can take three months or more to see improvement. hope this helps.

Hello,

Burning mouth syndrome is characterized by a burning sensation in the tongue or other oral sites, dryness and taste alteration usually in the absence of clinical and laboratory findings.

There's no one sure way to treat burning mouth syndrome and treatment depends on particular signs and symptoms, as well as any underlying conditions that may be causing mouth pain. Once underlying causes are treated, burning mouth syndrome symptoms get better.

Treatment options include lozenge-type form of the anticonvulsant medication clonazepam (Klonopin),alpha-lipoic acid, oral thrush medications and certain antidepressants.B vitamins and special oral rinses or mouth washes may also help.
Saliva replacement products and capsaicin have also been tried. In case, you are having burning mouth syndrome then you can choose from any of these options after consulting an ENT surgeon or a dental surgeon.

Hope this helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
