Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Rheumatic heart disease is a complication of rheumatic fever caused by streptococcal bacterium. Some of the most common symptoms of rheumatic heart disease are: history of fever and sore throat, migrating joint pains, rash on arms and trunk, breathlessness, palpitations, chest pain, fatigue, and fainting attacks. Diagnosis is by the symptoms and raised ESR, C-Reactive protein, increased WBC count, and raised anti streptolysin O titre.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
