2weeks after unprotected sex and 2 days light bleeding am i pregnant?

Hi, im 28 years old and i had sex two weeks ago without protection as me and my bf are trying to conceive. I started what I thought was my period two days ago but then after a day and a half it just all of a sudden stopped (which is VERY unusual as I usually bleed for 6-7 days!!) but then every now and then ive been getting the smallest amount of pale pink coming away but only when I wipe now that's stopped! I don't have any pain. ive been feeling REALLY under the weather for example...ive been sick two mornings already, dull backache, real bad headache, dizziness which has only just started, I could seriously just fall asleep standing up. Ive also noticed that my sense of smell has gone nuts lol...for example I went to a friends for a roast dinner on sunday and all I could smell was tomato soup haha and then when I went for lunch with my mum she had soup and I could smell porridge lol. if anybody could reply it would be much appreciated...ive also just done a hpt but its come back negative but I kind of thought that anyway as isn't it too early to test?

Hi dina thanks for your reply. I'm hoping that it is the early stages and as for keeping an eye on my bathroom frequency now you say it I've noticed that I am now for the last few nights getting up in the early hours and needing the bathroom which never used to happen. I just thought that I was getting the symptoms but because of the bleeding I had that I couldn't be pregnant.

Hi and thank you for your reply I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you. I'm trying to take things easy just incase its just not knowing that is driving me crazy! I think I would rather find out when I'm a few months gone then I wouldn't be sooo worried.

Sounds like early stages of pregnancy to me as well. I had light spotting in my first trimester with my first child. Just take it easy, try to avoid any rigorous activities or heavy lifting. As for the pregnancy test - it's probably too soon for a positive. I'd wait another week or 2 and retest. Pay attention to your breasts (tenderness or lactation) and bathroom frequency. If you notice an increase in you bathroom breaks and breast start to hurt in conjunction with all of your other symptoms, I'd say its a safe bet that you were successful in conceiving. Best of Luck!

It does sound very much like you could be pregnant, or there could be a possibility something is not quite right hormonally.

Just take care and be on the look out in the event it could be a miscarriage and do another pregnancy test in a few days time if you do not get a normal bleed.

There are usually instructions on the packet of a home pregnancy testing kits that tells you the time that has to lapse when your cycle was due to predict accurately if you are pregnant or not.  So you may have done the test too soon.

If you start to bleed heavily, keep a watch out for any clots or anything that is different to your normal periods.  You may need to see your doctor to make sure every is OK.

I had a spotting period and thought that was normal becasue I used to get erratic periods, the following month it started of slowly with spotting and gradually as the week went on I got very heavy and in severe pain and lost the fetus into the toilet.  I didn't know that I was pregnant so it was rather a shock and I needed medication to make sure the womb was clear of clots.

Hope this does not happen to you, but just keep an eye on things, take things easy and see how you go.    See your doctor for advice if things do not improve or you get worse and if you are worried.

Best wishes.
