limbs fall asleep

This started about 2 months ago. It seems like every time I lie down I can almost feel the blood rushing out of my arms and hands and shoulders and everything starts to tingle. Even my shoulders seem to fall asleep. I have had hands fall asleep before when sleeping on them but suddenly my arms, shoulders, and hands seem to fall asleep just by lying in a prone position. Any suggestions? thx

can I choose all of above? I use the computer alot(work at home) and game alot. I have put on probably 20-30 pounds over the past 3 months. I do have lower back problems and my chiropractor stated in her 20+ years of working she has never seen anyone with muscles that are so tight. Finally, I do have some nerve damage in my left leg. Even now as I type my hands and right arm are throbbing and tingling. Thx for your help

You could have a pinched nerve in your back or tendonitis in both arms. I had back issues that caused my arms to do this at night. I wasn't until I lost alot of weight that the pressure was taken off my back. I can only add by seeing a doctor and let them test you to see if either is the case. My guess is that it is one or the other. You need to evaluate the situation. Are you overweight? Could be the back. Are you typing or doing repetetive actions regarding the use of your limbs? If so could be tendonitis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Good luck and hope you find out what ales you.
