sensation of blood boiling at night

I know this sounds strange, but I wake up with the feeling like my blood is boiling at night. Is this a symptom of High Blood pressure? What type Dr. should I see for this symptom? I am over 68 years of age, active and not over weight. My general MD has no idea what is causing this he said.

Please advise...Thank you

I had that. I believe it’s a combination of high blood pressure and anxiety or panic attack. My blood pressure rose up to 175/115 during my panic attackI told my doctor about it and after a few tests I had all what I have mentioned. I needed to change my diet, do relaxation breathing, walk and/or run every 2-3 days. Also keep your meal small as I have realized that anxiety made me bloated and mad my anxiety worse. It too me about 5-6 months to feel a real positive outcome. I was able to slowly reduce my anxiety and blood pressure. Being consistent was the hardest part but in good days I had 115/77 BP but 155/108 on bad days.

My grandma wakes up with the same thing in the mornings and says that she feels as if he blood is boiling and she gets the extreme chills.  She is on 7 medications and one of them is pravastatin.  One of the MANY Dr's she's seen (since no one can figure what her problem is) took her off the statin drug and she started to feel somewhat better.  Unfortunately after 2 weeks of saying she was starting to feel like her old self again, the blood boiling has come back and she's now just as terrified because the answer is still unknown.  I have read about statin medications and it seems like they can have some pretty bad side effects so my family is still waiting to see if once this is all out of her system she feels better.  We are clueless too, but if ANYONE knows anything, PLEASE let us know!

Yes, I get this sensation too.  It is now 6:20 AM and I am getting this sensation right now.  I wondered if I have Leukemia or AIDs or HIV or something.  A friend of mine who died of Leukemia mentioned that he had the sensation one day before he died.  If I called it a condition I would call it Boiling Blood.

I get that same feeling, Ive had it on my legs, back of my shoulder on my arms, and only occurs at night. It like a boiling, bubbly feeling, and I can litteraly see it bubbling if its on my legs or arms. Ever find out what its called? My Dr. too is clueless about it. Im currently taking medicine to lower my high blood pressure and its stable while taking my medicine. Im currently jogging now 3 to 4 times a day, should be everyday but my body isnt used to it yet. Ive check my bp when I have these episodes and its still within my normal range, meaning it doesnt go high after my "episodes". Ive been keeping my blood pressure at about 130/80.

Do you normally have high blood pressure?  Have you thought about buying a home blood pressure monitoring kit from the store which would enable you to measure you blood pressure during these "episodes"?
