Mysterious pain?

Hi, I'm a 19 year old female and lately I have been worried about this mysterious pain I have been getting in the right side of my chest. It's a random shooting pain lasting no more than a few seconds that keeps recurring sometimes several times in a row and other times not. Anyways it has really been scarin me and causing panic attacks because I have a Panic disorder and I need to know if this is serious or if I should calm down? It started a few days ago after a bunch of yard work I did but it doesn't feel like it could be muscle related but who's to say I'm not used to any muscle problems because normally I have been quite fit my whole life but the past year I lost all my weight and all my muscles, but that's on a different note. Anyways sometimes it seems the pain shoots through my right shoulder between my shoulder blade and spine to my chest and other times not so much. I also have a history of stomach problems I always have my whole life, like with acid and I'm not sure if that may be the problem? I've never got these sensations before so that's why I didn't think it could be muscle related or acid related but like I said I have panic disorder which I developed recently and that can cause me to notice things I wouldn't normally notice. Any information on this will really ease my mind, like maybe ways to figure out if its muscle related or acid related without seeing a dr?
Thank you for you time
I just really need to ease my mind, things like this keep me up at night.

Thank you all. I just don't understand it because I feel like my anxiety is caused by the chest pains rather then the opposite. But I also didn't think it others get these random little pains and maybe that once I get this random pain I get anxiety causing it to happen more. Sometimes I need second opinions rather than family members who say "suck it up its nothing" because it doesn't really explain much, nor do their opinions matter to me.
I appreciate the help, I will try the magnesium, I hope it helps!

Hello, You have a couple of issues I could share my thoughts with you..
For your anxiety, I would advise the same as silverfox.

Panic attacks could easily be prevented and controlled by rasing your Magnesium levels . It will take time to build it up in your system, but it could help with the anxiety and sleep right away. Its difficult to get an accurate testing for Magnesium , so the best way is to start supplementaion and see how it will affect you.. It is safe. It is a nutritional supplement that we should get from our foods-- but not anymore due to the current food production now a days .

Magnesium Glycinate is one of the most absorbable forms of Mg. Take it as per directions on the bottle. Its hardly in foods so supplementation is almost always necessary. If you are taking medications regularly, prescribed meds could cause depletion of Magnesium stores, so it needs to be replenished every day. Anxiety from daily activities uses up Mg also.

For your traveling unknown pain, its most likely  gas. Mine goes to my arms, hips, legs, back, in between shoulder blades, fleeting pains in the chest, sides, or even in the feet.. Weird ! .. you would be able to tell by   pressing on the area- and it will make you burp and afford pain relief, or by doing chopping - like massage to where the pain is with same result.. I think your guess is right. Its gas from acidity..

To address formation of gas, I take "anti gas enzymes" Beano did not help me, not antacids either.. Seems like for the moment, the anti gas enzymes are helping.. Have to take it before each meal. I can tell the improvement from my arms, gas not there now, I usually have it daily.. I'm sad to say, but it has been an unending search for me.. So finding something that works is a blessing.

One other suggestion is food enzymes. If you have lactose allergy, this could  lead to the gas problem.. My friend's same  issue was relieved by just taking Lactobacillus acidophilus pills- . Take note as to what  foods you ate that causes the pain.. Once you are aware of what to look for, you will be able to help yourself as to what's best for you to do..:)

I get my pills on line. Keep us posted. I wish you well.

I really think that because you have an anxiety and panic disorder, you are reading more into this than necessary.  We all have little aches, pains, zaps and twinges that mean nothing.  However, if it really bothers you, try taking Magnesium as a lack of Magnesium causes one to feel all sorts of zaps, twinges, spasms, and electrical charged feelings.

Hoping this helps to allay your anxiety... best of everything
