stinging of night

Hi I would really love it if someone were experincing or knows
anything about my problem. When ever I fall asleep I wake with
a jolt because I get a hurtful sting on my tongue. I breathe through
my mouth when I sleep. Please help I don't know what's going on .
Hoping to hear from someone as I worry about what it would be.
Thanks xo

I have received the jolt, but not on my tongue.  Usually it is in my arms and legs, and it is more of an electrifying feeling than a stinging feeling.  Usually the "stinging" jolt can be contributed to nerve pain.   Have you spoken to your doctor or dentist about this?  If not, you may want to.
