Strep throat has many symptoms...most obviously, the sore throat. It can be red, with white "pus" pockets. Or, it can be red/irritated, with a series of tiny red dots on the uvula (the part that hangs down in the back of the throat). 2nd, you can have extreme upset stomach, accompanied by vomiting, and 3rd, you can have a head ache. My kids, for example, rarely get the sore throat. They always throw up...and their throats will be red, but doesn't hurt. Fever typically accompanies strep, and usually an antibiotic is required to get rid of the bacteria.
Additionally, if severe, you can have a rash, usually starting on the stomach/torso.
I would contact your doctor, or a clinic and they can do a throat culture to see for sure.
I had strep 4 or 5 times last year. My throat was really red, but it barely hurt, like the previous entry says. Also the first week or so before it actually came upon me, I noticed slimish stuff in the back of my throat and even if I swallowed it would come right back. Or I also had a severe headache into my neck.
If you have any or some of these symptoms you may have it.
get better!!!
