undiagnosed pain under right rib cage

I have had pain under my right rib cage for 2 years.  Had CT Scan, 2 ultrasounds, bone scan, gallbladder test, etc.  Also had pain blocker shot in the area in question, which did not offer any relief.  The pain I experience radiates through my back and up into my breatbone and shoulder.  My doctors have assured me that it is not my gallbladder.  Taking percocet for pain, get minimal relief.  When the pain started it was very subtle, then has worsened over time.  Does anyone know of any other tests I should be asking for.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I would love to hear them.
thanx.

I have had a tenderness and fullness under my right rib with abdominal bloating and pain. I have not had gas, diarrhea or constipation. I did have heartburn and am now being treated for that. I was in the hospital 2 years ago for severe stomah pain and for 4 days they ran all kinds of tests as I had lost 15 lbs in a few months. The last Dr. I saw diagnosed me with IBS and put me on Elival. The drug helped the pain for a short time but had side effects & now I am back where I started from. I feel like I am full of fluid in my abdominal cavity. Can anyone help.

Just wondering why you were diagnosed with IBS when you don't have gas pain, constipation or diariha.  Have you had any tests done like a ultrasound or CT scan.  I'm kind of in the same boat.  My DR. has told me that my pain is coming from a nerve but the medication (nuerontin) makes me fall asleep, so I had to stop taking it. Have you asked your Dr. about trying another medication?  Where is it exactly that you are experiencing the pain?
