unusual "clicking" in the back of the neck

I have noticed recently, that when i lower my head and turn it left or right, there is a very unusual clicking nois coming from the back of my neck, when I put my fingers over the back of my neck and turn my head, I can feel it, and it sounds and feels like i am cracking my neck, or like something is getting trapped somewhere. If it is any use, I have also been suffering some of these symptoms:

numbness in head/face on one side
numbness in chest
pressure in one side of head (releived by applying pressure to, and massaging my neck muscles with a finger)

First of all you need an x-ray of the neck, or scan would be better , most doctors only offer x-rays, its usually the consultants at hospital which will authorise the scans.

An x-ray may show up your problem, you may have a vertebrae out, or it could be a trapped nerve, or spondylosis,

But whatever it is, i would say x-ray before having anyone try to manipulate it back into place.

Dont play with the cervical, go and see your GP before attempting manipulation.
Good luck

have you had a spinal xray or mri? do NOT just go to a chiropractor. find out exactly what the issue is, and maybe seek some physical therapy.
