Thank you for your respone. It really helps to make a decision.
Hello. Sorry to hear about your problem. A couple of comments. First the "sling" procedure is really designed to stop leakage of urine associated with physical activity such as coughing sneezing laughing. Sometimes this problem can be hidden if there is a great deal of bladder prolapse (drop); i.e. a bulge beyond the vaginal opening. Generally, however, if you are not leaking the sling is not indicated.
Frequent urination is a very common complaint and there are many reasons for it. Urethral dilatation may not be the best first line treatment for frequent urination. You might want to consider a second opinion on this matter.
Dietay factors may be at play. Coffee, tea, soda, alcohol, NutraSweet, may all irritate the bladder and contribute to the problem Some people have an overly sensitive bladder and this may be helped with medications taken by mouth or placed directly into the bladder. In addition, physical therapy, and a newer technique known as "neuromodulation" may be of benefit. Two forms of neuromodulation currently available in the US are InterStim Therapy, and Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS).
Good Luck
