Question RE: groin swelling post

Sorry...On my original entry I meant to ask if there's a significant possibility that it could be a hernia?  I do not have difficulty urinating (no pain when doing so), however being that I am a veteran teacher, I have gotten into the bad habit of waiting to go for longer than I should.  Is this likely a urinary problem, a hernia, or both?

Sorry to read of your problem.  From your description I would be inclined to think you might have a hernia.  A general surgeon should be able to helpnyou with the diagnosis.  It does not sound like a urine problem based on your post.

I didn't see a original entry here so I checked your the dr side and see you posted there. This does not sound like POP to me; I'm going to hover and let the physicians post an answer regarding hernia concerns. Hang in there a bit longer!
