Treating UTI's during menopause
I'm pretty sure I have a bladder infection due to pain during urination, also feel sluggish, feverish, etc. I understand a urine culture can not be done during the menses. I have also been having prolonged menstrual bleeding. How can a doctor figure out what antibiotic to treat me with if they can not do a urine culture?

catheters inserted into women are not painful....your bladder is only a few inches inside....poor men depending on there length and add a couple more...now that smarts...don't worry ...its nothing!

Would these medications take care of Strep B if I had that? Thats what I had last time in my culture, and I had UTI only 2 months ago. The catheter in the urethra sounds horribly painful! :O
