blood discharge after period

When I was pregnet with my son I had had my period. After having him I got the shot and was on for a year. Now I've been off for 2 years  and my periods are just now getting back to normal. #1 how long could it take to even get pregnet again and would  I bleed again like I did last time? #2 This last period has come a day late and was pretty normal but now that I thought that it was over I'm having a blood discharge that looks and feels kind of yolk like. What does this mean and does it mean anything at all?

I have this sort of discharge when I ovulate.  I tend to ovulate 7-12 days after the FIRST day of my period, so if my period goes a little longer than usual (about 5 days) that "egg white" discharge seems to come a little quicker.  I sometime will spot when I ovulate, but that has lessened as I've gotten older (I'm 36 now).
