Testicle astrophy

Hey i have testicle astrophy in lefte side due to varicocele,so my question is does after embolization or surgery does my testicle will come to normal size???i have varicocele in left testicle and astrophy in same plz help me coz its shrunked a bit

Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern as varicoceles may cause pain and lead to testicular atrophy (shrinkage of the testicles). This may then lead to infertility.

Often, once the testicle is repaired, it will return to normal size but if infertility has set in then it may require further treatment. You can get done varicocele embolization or varicocelectomy. Varicocele embolization (also called catheter-directed embolization) is a nonsurgical treatment performed by an interventional radiologist in which he uses catheters and other instruments to shut off blood flow to the dysfunctional vein.
