Hey Doc,
I have had this strange pain in my genital area for about 2 months now. It first came on shortly after a sexual encounter. It was very noticeable pain at first, and kind of eased up but still never left. I saw 3 doctors about it. I found out it is not a hernia, not Chlamydia or ghonnerea, and probably not epidiymitis. I took levaquin, and that didn't kick it. I then saw a urologist and he gave me some kind of sterioid 6-day dosage and that didn't kick it, and I am now taking deoxycycline, and am halfway through taking that.
The urologist checked my testicles and says that nothing is wrong and that testicle pain is common. My penis and groin look normal. But the pain is always there. Located mostly in my lower left side abdomen area just above my penis. When the pain gets worse it goes into the lower left side of my penis associated with swollen veins on that side of my penis when limp. Also, the pain gets general and deep in the genital area.
Do you have any ideas of what this could be? The urologist said that this pain can be common, but I am sure something is up but don't know what. Any advice on what to do from here or what it could possibly be would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
