I disagree with anyone who says this is not a serious issue. I am not a Dr but I have been in hospital (mental ward twice) I learned alot there.
It sounds to me that your cutting is whats called passive suicide attempt..meaning your hurting deeply, want help and do not know how to get it...you are seeking attention, if you really had wanted to make an attempt it would have been more serious,,,,and Iam so very glad that it was not.

ok thats the past.lets think about how to help you to a better future...you need to see a psychiatrist. If money is a issue it need not be look in phone book fo free psychiatrists or sliding scale ( this means you pay very little)  the only way you can get a mental diagnosis is to see a psychiatrist,

there is no shame as people used to think,,,many (infact most) famous stars, singers etc see psychiarists....they will talk with you, ask questions about your past,Its very important to be 100% honest.
I went threw hell before seeking help now just wish I had done it years ago,,,,it took 3 trys but dr got me on right medications and I feel so good and "normal" I had suffered from depression and anxiety for years.

as above poster says...there are things you can do to help self. Exercise, healthy 3  meals per day..talk w friends...

but you must see a qualified Dr first before you may make a serious mistake and hurt yourself,,,please speak with your parents or a adult you trust such as a Ant or other familymember,,,speak w school counselor,,you may thinkits kind  of embarrising but do trust me they have heard of this before and will try to help you.

If you ever ever feel very serious about hurting self and just cannot pull self out of the thoughts call 911. same thing if you feel like hurting others.

God Bless, Cherie

i dont think this is a major issue but i will consider to talk to parents about natural treatment because this healthcare thing costs a loot of money
i reccomend chinise breathing exercises  and treadmill
it works for me and please talk to more people about it.
more talking can give you better options.
you are not alone in this and death solves absolutely nothing

A forum is no replacement for actual counseling, therapy or diagnosis from a doctor; but it sounds like you might have major depressive disorder, which is a treatable mental illness, and is as serious as bipolar.

If you feel like these symptoms are getting worse either talk about how you feel to your school counselor, priest or your general practitioner (who can make a referral to a psychiatrist), or convince your parents that you need to visit a psychiatrist and tell them about your symptoms. The latter is difficult to do but extremely important.

When you feel suicidal, you can call a suicide helpline like The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and keep someone with you.
