Welcome to all...

I will be the first to admit that I love to eat and drink (and breath and move about freely ,-)

I hope that this forum will be a place where we can show that healthy eating need not be dreaded.

Mealtime...for yourself, just one other, a small family (large family), a dinner party, a large gathering...ought be a time we approach with joy rather than apprehension.

Use good ingredients, look to complimentary flavors, the way certain foods actually amplify each other...the possibilities are endless.

Looking Forward!
Pip

I love to cook for myself, but I seldon entertain.  I have a rather large freezer and love to cook big on the weekend to put up things for lunch and dinner so that I wont have to cook when I am hungry and wanting to eat!  I try to cook healthy and just bought the book of "200 under 200".  The author is "The Hungry Girl".  I use lots of her recipes and also watch "Cook Yourself Thin" on TV and have used some of their recipes.  Haven't been able to find their book yet.  Since I love to eat so much, I have to watch what ingredients I use and the methods of cooking.  I love fried foods, but have found ways to "oven "fry" things that taste really good.  You can find some great substitures which taste amazing and aren't fattening.  For instance, I just found a recipe for jalapeno poppers that are not fried, but taste just as good AND I can have 10 of them for the same calories the regular ones cost for 2 poppers!!  That's what I'm talking about!!  Anyway, this is a nice place to talk about eating and cooking!  See ya later!
