Strange Posts

So the post Have2Kids wrote got me thinking about some of the strange posts I have seen on MedHelp.  I started looking at some of the forums I haven't checked out in a while.  I was in the Pregnancy Expert Forum and couldn't believe how many posts there were of the "am I pregnant" variety.  Thing is you have to PAY to post a question there..$20.00. It used to be free but so many strange questions were coming up that I think that is why they decided to charge to post there.  To only get the legitimate questions.  But seriously,   it's not cheaper to just go out and buy a home pregnancy test?  People never cease to amaze me.  I bet Dr. Brown is one frustrated lady at times....

Encouraging a person to be even more ridiculous is a popular troll in some circles, although the notes on MH are probably just weird people.

I think the thing that bothers me the most are the people who encourage the people who so obviously are not pregnant that they probably are pregnant.  I don;t know why it bugs me so much but it really does...Example:

hopeful person: So my boobs hurt and I have LOTS of CM and I think I spotted 2 days ago..have taken 5 tests all BFN and a negative blood test, but I know this person who knew this person who knew this person that never got a positive and I know that im pregnant...I know because its my body and I just know!!!!

too supportive person: Honey I totally think your symptoms are telling you that your pregnant(despite all the BFNS).....you know your body and I say congrats to you!!!  I also know that person who knew that person that never got a positive!! this is totally it for you...SSBD!!!!!!

I agree with Annie...  there were times when I really thought I HAD to be pregnant,  and wasn't!

It's amazing (and sad) how many women really, really need their negative test to be false, and how many others really, really want their positive test to be false.  I truly feel that a woman who wants to be preggers and is not, is certifiably crazy.  I was.  Once (years ago) I called my sister who had been pregnant, to excitedly tell her my breasts seemed to have more prominent blue veins, and did that probably mean I'm pregnant?  I can still remember the tone of her voice as she tried politely not to tell me off for being a lunatic.

Hmmm, I think Tator and Mami need to post pictures of their tummies for us...then we can tell you for certain!   I had a new one yesterday....a women posted who had 3 positive home pregnancy tests and wondered if her use of sleeping pills could have produced a false positive...I still can't figure that one out.

Sound like it to me.  Hey, I cried like 2 days ago (from watching a sad movie) and then at the same time ate a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies.  Could I be prenate?

well...  my tummy has been upset all day and I have had to pee like 10 times this afternoon....  it is most likely because I drank 4 bottles of water around lunch time,  but you guys don't think I am pregnate do you?  :)

it is funny!

There was one earlier in the week who took a pregnancy test while on her period (negative), and had sex like the day after her period ended and wanted to know how long she had to wait to test again.....  WTF?!?  Do these people not pay attention in Sex Ed?  Or try researching google before finding us?  Most likely they find this forum through google!

There is a nice strange one now of a girl who hasn't had her period in a year and thinks she's pregnant because she's very emotional and has a strong sense of smell...lol.

I think it was just regular dandelions, not "sand dandelions," though sand dandelions do sound much more interesting.  Come to my neighborhood, we can set you up with thousands and thousands of the regular kind.  LOL

I enjoy the occasional poster who spells "vagina" as "Virginia," and got a big kick out of the recent, repeated misspelling of "uterus" as "utares"  by one poster until I gave her a little hint by p.m. that it wasn't spelled that way.  I told Peek the latter sounded like something from Star Trek -- "Captain, the signal is coming from the Utares Nebula."

Search for PDolg or something like that. She was a true nut. She not only had blood tests, but also ultrasounds supposedly and she still thought she was pg.

**disclaimer***   sorry for all the mispelled words in my previous post.  I think you can tell what I was actually meaning to type.   I wasn't kidding about the headache and obviously can't spell or think.

I've had a headache for 5 days now so do you think I am pregnate???????
Should I take a test?   Maybe if I be on it and take it apart I will get an answer- or better yet I'll pee on sand dandelions if I can find them.

My favorite "am I pregnant" post in recent times was when a woman posted a photograph of her stomach and asked "Am I pregnant?"

Here is part of another odd post from Pregnancy 35+.  Oh dear........

I am NOT getting the flu shot. I think its all a load of **** and I think its just a way for the government to control us.  I swear there trying to do population control. I wouldnt be surprised if there the ones who let the virus out. I know I sound crazy but all i know that is me and my children will not be getting injected with anything.

I mean really, seriously??  Population control through the flu??

Lol, I haven't seen that one yet, but it truly wouldn't surprise me.  You would think the "am I pregnant" question would be easily resolved wouldn't you.  I can remember one poster we had on Pregnancy 35+.  Her blood tests were all negative, home pregnancy tests negative, yet she was absolutely convinced she was pregnant.  And this went on for at least 2 or 3 months....she had convinced herself that some women don't produce HCG during pregnancy or something crazy like that...was a very very odd duck.  Eventually she just disappeared, probably because we stopped responding to her posts.
