Hi trying and happy New year !  I was prescribed percs for a back problem a year ago and now I want off this crap. I am taking off Jan 8 -11th to go cold turkey.
I tried to stop last week but realized that I needed to stay home. I cant work and go through the withdrawals. I made it to day 2 1/2 then took 2 1/2 percs and felt normal. What a crazy addiction. It is nothing more than like having the flu. What I found the worse was the restless nights when your body can't stay still, mostly at night. So I'm tring again this Thursday. I have stockpilled all my ammo, Advil, (liquigells are great) aspirin and a multi vitamin. I have to admit that with a stressful lifestyle that most people have it is no wonder why we use our little helpers to get through the day.  I remember starting out with a half of a tylenol with codene ( Tylenol #3 ) and now have to take 3 percs to get the same effects. Wish me luck, and good luck to you!
