when will i stop bleeding?!

Hi just wondering if anyone can help me.
I found out on 29th dec that there was no heart beat. and m/c  on the 31st. I was bleeding heavy at first which i know is natural but now 16 days later i am still bleeding, although it is no longer red and very light, but its still there that horrible constant reminder that my little baby is gone. I so desperately want this to be over with so i can try again, does any one have any advice?
xx

Hello,
I'm new.  I'm trying to conceive after two miscarriages.  The first two pregnancies came  easily, but I'm having trouble getting pregnant again and this time we really have a chance - I'm on a blood thinner for two blood clotting mutations that possibly/probably (depending on which doctor I talk to!) caused the miscarriages.  So, it's only been a couple of months but it's frustrating.  I didn't think I'd get over the miscarriages but time has helped a lot - apart from a few setbacks (like a statistically shocking number of my co-workers having babies, even near my first due date with the name my husband and I had chosen) each week is easier and more hopeful than the last.  So, my sympathies to those going through this.  And good luck to everyone ttc!

Hey,
Bleeding is miserable - it was a reminder to me too, though the second period afterwards was a little easier - time really helps.  About this though, call your doctor and make sure they know it's been more than 2 weeks.  My doc regarded two weeks as the outside of what's to be expected.  Don't worry, just give your doc the chance to tell you it's ok.  Best wishes!

hi , so sorry you have gone through this. with me i had my m/c 23rd nov 09 and the bleeding lasted about 10 days in total. If it seems to be going lighter then i would say it is probably going to stop soon but if it carries on much longer i would maybe speak to your doc just to get checked out. have you had internal scan to check everything back to norm? xx
