The contractions are defo getting stronger but not no more regular, then was told today it 'could be' early stages of labour and to wait it out.......

This happened to me at 38 weeks but I never went to the doctor. Mine went away when I sat down and rested. I thought for sure it was labor because with my first I had contractions for three days 5 minutes apart and mildly painful but only dilated a cm a day until they admitted me at 3 cm and the rest of my labor took over 12 hours.  This time I didn't want to be in the hospital that long so I waited it out tried to sleep, walked my treadmill and kept busy but the third day this time they went away and I didn't dilate at all!! I would try just to rest up since keeping active isn't doing anything, plus if it is the real thing you want to conserve your energy for the labor. Try to get your mind off the contractions, watch a movie, or try to sleep!

I have done this since last Sunday night before that I had gone into labor 2 weeks prior also and it stopped after a couple days. SInce I left this time after a 4 day stay I have been contracting every 4-10 min night and day and tehy are painful also. I would suggest of you are at 38-39 weeks to get some evening primrose oil and rub it on your cervix. Do not use it if you are not full term though as it would nto be good to bring the baby early then what your body will do on it's own. I do not know what to tell you as far as what to do. I am mad one min then feel like crying, like ripping someones head off or just running away!!!! Sex and walking can help though and are safe. I am 3cm and 70-80% effeced so mine did do something but have not put me into active labor yet. I will be 36 weeks on Wenesday. Best of luck to you and I feel for ya! This is my 5th and I have done this every alot.
