Monday Updates Aug. 30

Nothing crazy new... we are still struggling with crying and tantrums.  I have been told this may last a while!  :/  Time outs have been very effective and she definitely understands what is going on now.  Only took a few times and now I say the word "timeout" and she quickly looks away from me with a sad face.  I am confident she understands their place in her life :)

She hasn't been big on food lately so I think we might be going through a weird stage right now.  Although, she still hasn't given up her love for anything pasta!  (Just like her mom!  haha)

Since we had her frenunulums cut, she has been licking her lips and practicing sticking out her tongue.  Probably nothing new for any of your ladies, but this is so cool to see for us since she wasn't able to do those things before.

That's about it for us!

AFM: I can't remember if I told you ladies, but no BFP this month... although I have yet to get AF so maybe there is hope?  Or maybe I am on rediculously long cycles now?  Why is the human body so complicated?!?!  lol

Ugh back to work this week.  Mady started at the sitter, which she was not a huge fan of, but in a few weerks hopefully it'll be like clockwork and she won't fret it.  It was hard to leave her screaming though.

We are really going through a phase, Mady whines, tantrums and can be a BRAT, I hate to say that, a lot of the time.  We are really working on her using words and calming down even if she is told no.  Time outs too!!  Ovaz I am scared ig this phase is going to last long.

We are otherwise the same,  Mady is talking a ton even is saying 2 word sentences!!!  Our eating process is ok when she wants it to be othe times she eats a bite and says done done.  She is drinking carnation instant breakfast with her breackfast so I know she is getting some nutrients in.

AFM- I am 10 1/2 weeks preggo, scared b/c this was when things went wrong last time (b4 Mady).  I have a heartbeat appt on Tuesday next week.  No ultrasound till 20 weeks unless necessary, boooo.  Feeling pretty good, but man these hormones are really kicking in.  I am in a good mood and bad mood in a five minute period.

Kele - I love the name Zach ;-). My hubby is always yelling at me to use the backburners, but the front burners are the ones that are stronger, so I often cook on them. Hayden is always curious, so I have to watch her. He just got in there quicker than you - so you can't beat yourself up. These things happen and it is part of growing up.

Not much new here either. Phin eats nothing still, but does drink his smoothies. When he does eat, he picks the oddest things. The past few days he has been all about lima beans and teddy grahams. Hey as long as he gets some solid foods down right?

We got him some megablocks over the weekend and that is all he plays with right now. His legos were just a bit too small and really frustrated him, but these ones are bigger and easier for him to do on his own. He gets such a look of pride when he builds something.

He has his 18 month check up on Thursday and I won't be able to go as I will be in my first class of the semester...it makes me sad. This will be the forst one that I have missed and he will be getting a shot too...ugh the mommy guilt!

Speaking of mommy guilt. Phin got burnt last night. I was making pancakes for dinner (^_^) on our foreman grill and he reached up on the counter and touched it. Yep 4 burnt fingers complete with immediate blisters. He screamed bloody murder for a good hour and then whimpered for an additional hour or so. I felt so incredibly bad, I knew it was hot and I should have pushed it further back. It killed me to hear him in such pain. We let him play with cold running water in the sink and that helped a ton. Tylenol was also liberally applied to him to help calm him down. Bad mommy moment to the extreme there. Add pregnancy hormones and I was a mess. Poor Chris.

AFM-27 weeks now and have been having regular contractions so I take it fairly easy these days. I have an appt on Wednesday and I look forward to hearing Zach's sweet heartbeat.

Ovaz - we are the same on pasta, Hayden loves it. haha.

All is well in our camp, except Hayden has a cold and her voice is so low and manly sounding. It is quite funny. She is starting to sing along with the 'Elmo's World' theme completely now. Again, very entertaining. She is now obsessed with the swings at the park, where before it was the slide, and throws tantrums when I take her out of the swing. Totally embarrassing.

Just got back from a lovely wedding in New Paltz, NY - left H home with her daddy. They did well and I slept until 8am on Sunday - wohoo!

AFM - about 5 weeks along now and hCG continues to rise at a great pace. 3 weeks until ultrasound to see heartbeat. Felt completely sick yesterday and last night. OVAZ - drew and I tried since January!! It takes time, but this time I was so monitored by my DR that is what really helped.
