Monday Updates

Happy Labor Day everyone! Hayden is totally on a "does not want to eat anything" phase. None of her favorites - not even yogurt! We drove 45 mins last night to dinner and she would not touch her dinner. So Drew and I powered through our pastas in 15 mins and we bailed about as fast as we could b/c Hayden did not want to sit patiently & wait. She is really developing athletically lately too. Hanging from monkey bars on her own when we lift her up, climbing some pretty big hills, running down them, etc. Love that she is super active but I am tired keeping up with her! She loves when Drew tosses her into pillows or plays superman with her by balancing on his feet. Our pool closes this week - boo!

AFM, 6 weeks now. My u/s is on Sept 21 - two weeks from today to confirm there is a developing baby with a good heartbeat. I am definitely feeling it though - tired, sore, and queasy. JOY!

Oh my goodness, OVAZ, by far the FUNNIEST baby story ever. I know you may not think it is funny now, but someday you have to look back and laugh. But if you are right now, even better. I was changing Hayden this morning at the neighbors and put her dirty diaper next to her and she pulled it to her - and a poopie "cake" rolled out and hit her in the face -- poop streaks on her cheek. I was part mortified and part shocked. But I laughed it off after.

Congrats to Em0ti0nz! Nothing better than sisters ;-)

Phin too loves his milk and is not wanting to eat. Unless it is off my plate. I hate to say but I do refuse him most times. I really do not want to start that habit and have to break it later on. Speaking of breaking habits, we are weaning off the pacifier. I wish my husband would be more involved though, he gives in at first cry and gives him back his plug. ugh. I have him down to naps and bedtime so we are getting better.

He had his 18 month checkup and weighs 24lb2oz and is 2ft8.5in tall. Where on earth did my little baby boy go? He is still not speaking any words though, so we have a follow-up in 3 months to check on this delay. His hearing is fine and he does respond to language...he just doesn't talk.

We went to a wedding this past weekend and he was perfect, well as perfect as a toddler can be. ^_^ There were about 6 other little ones there and they all just stared at eachother and wandered off in different directions.

AFM-28w1d along. We are getting there, slowly but surely. School started and it was nice to be back but those chairs are so uncomfortable for me. I am going to bring a yoga ball to classes with me I think. ^_^ Heartburn is starting to bug me a bit more nowadays and oh the ravenous hunger!

Em0ti0nz-Congrats! Hope all are settling down nicely and that the girls are getting to know eachother.

Ovaz- ROFL! That is so very funny. If it makes you feel better Micah ate his poo, not once, not twice, but almost daily for what seemed like MONTHS. He could not be trusted alone because of the habit. In the middle of summer I had to put him on onsies and overalls to prevent him from doing this.... so gross.

Also, that probiotic, Culturtelle, is added to Mark's milk and it makes a big difference in his diaper rash. Just in case sweet Leighton might need it, you can get it at target.

Em0ti0nz- CONGRATS on the birth of your baby!

Well Ava is officially a big sister. I was scheduled for a csection tomorrow butttt Desirae had other plans. My water broke Sept 5 and she was born via csection at 5:51pm. 7lbs 8.5oz 20.5inches. Ava really doesn't acknowledge the baby yet. I am waiting to see what it will look like when we get home.

Ava too has been a very very picky eater when she use to be so good. I am not sure why. I wish she would eat.

Good luck!

Whitney... Mark sounds like Leighton right now!  Her bum skin is sensitive and gets diaper rash on the drop of a dime.  In fact, she has it right now!  And, the outside comment... Leighton says the exact thing and sounds so sad when she says "Side, Mommy, side."  It is really funny.

Nothing really new... she still doesn't want to eat, she still is in a TERRIBLE crying phase, and today... ready for this?!?!

SHE ATE HER POOP.  Seriously.  I was about to vom when I saw her playing with what looked like mango pieces on the floor.  But, upon further inspection I saw that she was pulling these disgusting things from her diaper and then putting her fingers in her mouth!!!!  AHHHHH!  This all occured at roughly 6:30am.  Let's just say it was a less than pleasant morning :)

AFM: Okay... no luck again this month on TTC :(  So, waiting until January it is!  That's okay... on the plus side I get to have my yummy holiday drinks!  lol

My goodness Mark has been awful with eating lately. All he wants to do all day is drink his milk. It has been so difficult to get him to eat that I am just so thankful when he does decided to take bites of my food. I have started regulating the amount of milk he drinks with the hope that he will start eating again.

Last night Mark woke up for the first time in months. He was screaming so badly. First my husband tried to comfort him, but after he laid Mark back down he started crying again. This time, though, he started saying, "Mommy! Mommy! Butt. Ow wee! Butt." I thought to myself, "Is he poopy?" Sure enough he had to be changed. Mark has really sensitive bum skin so we are constantly having to apply prescription creams, and add probiotics (called Culturetelle or something) for his skin so I am sure that it did hurt. I was just so impressed that he would communicate that he had pooped, that it hurt and he needed me.

The weather here has be beautiful. Our peach trees are producing delicious peaches! Mark loves to go and find them. He will stand at the door, point to the knob and say, "Mommy, side, pease, side." I really just adore this boy :)

Jem- CONGRATS  on the pregnancy!
