His weight is between the 5-10th percentile for his age. Suggest replacing his milk at meals/snacks with milkshakes (milk and ice cream blended), or yogurt smoothies (yogurt, fruit, and ice cream) for additional calories and protein for weight gain. Try engaging him in the kitchen more. Have him help you with planning and preparation of food, and setting the table. Hopefully this will increase his interest in food. The most important is to relax at meals. If he will not eat a certain food not eat too much, do not make a fuss over it. Let it go and enjoy the meal. Hoped this helped you.

Hi,

i tried to teach my son eating habits by encouraging him to follow educational comics on internet. It seems that the comics he was watching paid off. What we used were educational comics on nutrition, about team sports or outdoor adventure. Initially he was like 'i dont need' but watching and understanding them made him more curious. The comics we used are fully educational. If you are interested, this is the site we used: www.fishsmarty.com and the edu comics are here: http://www.fishsmarty.com/educational-comics
