Why is this so difficult to figure out???

Had another dr's appoint today, and still having an issure with conflicting due date.  Apparently My earliest u/s report says my due date is not until Jan.17 (even though the tech told me Jan,7 due date) which puts me at 33wks, my lmp and when I would have conceived is not inline with that date at all so 3wks ago I was sent for a fetal assesment which came back with a date of Jan.2 which follows closer to my dates (lmp-March.28, doc-April 8-13...hubby works away so not hard to figure this out).   Today I measured at 38wks which has been consistently going up by two wks at every 2wk appoint.  My ob still plans on going by the date of Jan 17 even though everything else is pointing otherwise, stating that the earliest u/s gives the most accurate dates.      My concern is that should I not go into labour early she might not induce me till what would be end of Jan and if she is wrong wouldn't that be bad for baby, if infact the earlier dates are correct.  (I am however convinced I will have my girl end of Dec beginning of Jan).
I was also told today that baby is breach...and I had a few options, 1st to go to another ob who will try and physically manipulate her to rotate but their is a risk that this could cause the cord to wrap around her neck and then an emergency c-section would have to be performed. 2nd, Have a different ob deliver who speciallizes in delivering breach babies, 3rd- plan to have a c-section.  She advised the first choice of physically rotating her and so in 3wks I will be going to do that which would put me at "36 wks" according to Jan.17 dd.        Are any of your babies still breach and are your dr's concerned at this point?  I figured with her thinking I'm only 33wks right now that that would mean baby still has plenty of time to turn herself around.
Also while getting this procedure done they do u/s at the same time to monitor the baby...could they not see then wether baby is ready (as in further along) at that point, I mean they should be able to tell is she has fully developed Ie) lungs, heart, ect at this point shouldn't they.
I am really bothered by all this...I know I should just chill and when she comes she comes..but really this wide range of dates and when she is actually born could affect where she is health wise, aswell as where I will have to deliver (really, really do not want to have to deliver in the city), and whether my ob or some other one will be doing it.
I know this all may be somewhat redundant as I have posted about my concerns with dd earlier but I had hoped that when she sent me for the fetal assessment it would get all this straightened out-apparently not.
Oh yah is anyone else's 'measurements' really far ahead, cause according to it I would be having my girl in about 2wks????
Anyway thank you all for being here, hope your all well!

Confused is right!  But I've decided I'm going with my lmp, od, and f/a.... Jan.2, but my Dr continues to say Jan.17.   I am booked for another fetal assessment on the 14th, where they will see if she has turned and if they will see if it's possible for them to do the ECV...if they can not sure if they do it at that time or wether it will be booked for a later date.  Hopefully she will have turned on her own by then.  I am going to a Chiropractor who does the Webster technique (I think that's what it's called), it's suppose to help my uterus relax so she can turn naturally, also trying using the flashlight and music to intigue her, and going on all fours...I have no idea what position she is in at this point, she may be head down already for all I know.  Everyone figures I should be able to tell but I haven't a clue, I can't tell the difference between a  head and the bum and she seems to be kicking/punching at various spots throughout the day.    I'll let you know how it goes on the 14th!

I agree with Mum and should go by your lmp. I wouldnt think that the doctors would be concerned at this point with him/her being breech because its still early. I hear that they can flip at any point in the last month. Seems like your doc is getting a bit a head of themself. Let us know what they decide to do and good luck!!

Wow they've done a good job of confusing you!  I think your LMP date would be the most accurate, don't you??  My baby is also breech, I'm 33.5 weeks.  I was told if it's still breech at my next check at 36 weeks they can try to turn the baby at 37 weeks, think it's called external cephalic version (ECV)- I looked it up on u tube and saw a few women having it done, they didn't seem to be in any pain. The midwife told me they give you an injection first to relax you. I have also read about the risks and worry about the cord wrapping around the baby's neck... really hope our baby's turn by then so we don't need the procedure. There are some exercises you can do to encourage bub to turn- getting on all fours, swimming. Google- exercises to turn a breech baby for more ideas. If my baby is still breech when I go into labour I will have him/her delivered by a Dr who specialises in breech deliveries, I really don't want a c-section. Good luck, let me know how you get along and if your baby finally turns!
