Any Updates?

Hi Ladies,

How all is well with everyone and their little ones. I wanna hear updates...where is everyone? I was MIA because it was truly hard to log onto the internet these past 8 weeks. I've been mainly logging on from my phone.

My Update:

My little Peri is doing well. At her 1 month appointment she was up to 10lbs and over 20 inches long. Shes sleeping well at night...at least 6 hours but I better have her milk ready when she wakes up. I am mainly breastfeeding but I on occasion give her formula and that's only when we are out. I have a lot of milk saved from me pumping right when we got home.  My supply seems a little low and I'm sure it's because I'm not drinking and eating enough. Since I'm back and work I can do better. Today was also the first day my Peri went to Granny's and I'm not worried at all. Granny also kept my 5 yr old so I know she's in good hands. It sure does make going back to work easier when you know you have someone you can trust taking care of your little one. Peri loves looking at me and follows me around the room with her eyes. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Anyways I can go on and on but I wont. :)

How is everyone else?

Took Navy to her 2 month old visit and she was weighing in at 10 lbs 4 ozs and is now 22 1/2 inches long. She cried when she got her shots and for the rest of the day she was in so much pain she just screamed and screamed and screamed. She's usually so quiet that I knew she just felt terrible. Not to mention her little legs were so red. :(

So at 2 months Navy can smile socially and she has really good neck control where she can lift her head about 75 degrees and hold it, sit up assisted and for a couple seconds unassisted, she has rolled over but I think they were flukes but she rolls over to her side all the time, she can follow me with her eyes and take her pacifier out of her mouth with her hand. She sleeps a blessed 7-8 hours a night! (So lucky since it took her sister a year and a half to do that). When I give her tummy time she tries to put her legs under her and push up but all she does is get her little booty in the air. Haha it's too funny. Her hair has changed from dark brown to dark red (kinda like mine) and she has stormy blue/gray eyes. For now.

I went back to work part time since I needed some space from the children. Being on bed rest for a couple months and then being home 2 months was making me hate my walls. Haha.

Oh and the most exciting news of all! My older daughters father after years of fighting over her has decided to step out of her life and let DH formally adopt her. Its kinda sad that he doesn't want her at all but she hasn't seen him since she was 12 months old and and she'll be 3 on the 23rd of this month so she doesn't even know him anyway.

Hey, I've been AWOL for awhile! Jacob had his 8 week checkup yesterday.... WHERE DID THE TIME GO!?!?!?! He was a whopping 12lbs 15oz. Still feeding him breast milk but I'm just pumping. Supply is great. Jacob can hold his head up and loves to look around at everything. He's smiling at me when I smile at him and coos a lot. His doctor suggested we start introducing rice cereal but I don't know if I am going to yet or not. He seems way too young for that. Jacob sleeps good, mainly gets up about twice... once at midnight then again at 4 or 5. I can't complain- seems good for me!

As for me, I am good. Lots of back pain, but my cesarean scar feel normal. It's still numb- but that is very normal. No sex drive whatsoever if anyone was wondering haha.

Glad to hear that everyone is doing good so far.

Heather- My little Peri hit a growth spur around 5 weeks too...she went from drinking 4oz of milk to almost 6. Now she is up to 6. I was worried because I didnt think I would be able to keep up my supply but that's picked up a little too.

@Tiffiepooh--How's the Bfing coming. Even tho I wasn't responding much I was still reading everyone ones comments. I noticed that you had a problem with your milk supply. You also took Feekgreek (msp), did it work for you? I took/take it and really don't see a big difference. My husband is from Ghana and his sister recommended this stuff called Kenkay and you add milk and sugar and blend it up. Well I added water and suger along with Apple Pie spice (for taste) and that night I was able to pump 9oz that time. I think I'm suppose to be drinking it everyday but its really not that good no matter what I add to it. Last time I had bananas, Kiwi and yogurt to it and it was ok.

@Vani- I'm still having pain in my stomach from my c-section as well. I called the advice nurse last week and they told me to take it easy. I told the nurse well I dont understand because you guys expect me to return to work and I can't lay down there. Anyways she told me it was normal. I said if I still have the pains next week then I'll go in and have it checked out. Its really around my incision but no redness or anything just sore.

It's good to hear that everyone is doing good. My daughter is going to be 2 months on Friday... I can't believe it is going to be 2 months since her birth. Anyway, last time she was at the doctors was about a week ago and she was weighing 11 lbs. She does have to go in for her shots on Friday so we'll see how that goes. She loves to watch tv and be in her swing. She also follows me with her eyes and loves to smile whenever I talk to her. She is mostly bfing and is doing great at it. She also holds up her head and likes to be upright.

As far as me, I'm still feeling pain from my c-section. I went in to my ob's office and they ordered an ultrasound since the pain was in my uterus. They did say every thing looked good but they still gave me antibiotics because they said it could be an infection. Hopefully that get's cleared up soon.

Yay Peri!! You guys sound like you're doing very well!

Brady is 5 weeks today and he's doing really well! I think he's hit a growth spurt because the last few days he's wanted to cluster feed a bit and my milk supply has increased...these suckers are huge the last few days! LOL I started pumping a couple weeks ago, which is good. Takes him a bit to get the hang of the bottle though. We don't give it to him often! His 4 week appt was great...he was up to 11lbs and my midwife says he's perfect. He's starting to coo and smile a lot more!! I love it! Today he puked down my shirt and after I came back from changing...he was all SMILES!! Little bum! hehe

As for me...I'm starting to feel a bit back to normal. I'm still bleeding which I HATE! And a little numb down there. I'm scared for my 6 week check up! ahh!
I started working out the last couple days and it feels sooo good! I want to fit back into my jeans by Christmas...I'm not keeping my hopes up though!
