I would agree that it could be early signs, but until you have full on contractions 1-5mins apart or the water breaks.. my midwife said dont even go in. =( I have 9days left, I've had lots of hip/pelvic pains and the bathroom issues too- but I am affraid to push and make her come before Christmas. Is that silly of me?
I'd like to hold out till next weekend if possible- so not inducing any labor until at least my due date. And even then I am limited on that, since I want to go for a VBAC there is no medical inducing it would only be a repeat c-sec. I told my hubby he may have a blessed week after Christmas, we may try having fun/inducing labor (sorry tmi) or I may try some relaxing exercises, hot baths, etc.
I hope your labor doesnt last for days or a week... soon enough you should know and feel much more of the contraction like pains- also hope you dont have back labor. Have they said anything to you about baby being "sunny side up" with the face towards you belly not your back? Sometimes that can cause the discomfort in the back.
GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!
I've had the exact same signs/symptoms since Friday night, when I also had a few hours of intense BH. One of my closest friends is a doc and swears it's early labor. However, she also said early labor can last for days to weeks! Hope in your case it goes quickly.
I am officially due in 4 days. Feeling a bit blue these days, like I may never progress to full-on labor. DH has the week between Christmas and NYE off; if we had the baby soon, he would take a week of vacation and we'd have 2 weeks to figure out this whole newborn thing (it's our first child). We have no outside / family help, so maximizing his time home is very important to me. I just feel like I might be the only person on this forum in January, still analyzing symptoms and asking if it might be labor.
Sorry to sound bratty. I guess I'm a bit cranky today :(
Hope to hear good news from you later this week!
