There is no evidence to suggest you are at a higher risk. The only reason the doctors make you wait is so they can determine the dates of your pregnancy and to be sure your in a good sense of mind for a new pregnancy. I had a miscarriage on the 20th Dec. I found out yesterday I'm pregnant again. It's when your ready is the best time to concieve. If you search the internet there is no evidence to suggest higher miscarriage rate, miscarriage is very common just because you've had 1 does not mean you are more likely to have another. Hope that helps you.
I was told to wait 3 months when I mc. I then asked my dr if there was any medical reason why I should do this and if there would be problems if I didn't and he said no it is just a precaution. He said to wait at least one cycle though. Good luck to you!
I miscarried for the first time in August. I waited three full cycles (like my doctor told me to) and then my husband and I tried again. I got pregnant again in November and miscarried again in December. My doctor told me to wait until I got my period back and then try again. He said there was no need to wait this time. I think he had me wait so long the first time because it was my first pregnancy and he wanted my body to adjust. If you feel ready and healed to try again then go for it. The chances of a miscarriage are not any higher or lower based on when you decide to try again. And the chances are a miscarriage are not any greater or lesser because you've already had one. I am waiting one cycle and then we are going to try again. Hopefully third times a charm. My friend miscarried and then got pregnant without having a period between her pregnancies and gave birth to a happy healthy baby. Do what feels right and good luck!!
