The Nursery

Has anyone else started their nursery? We've already painted and I made a set of curtains and put up a few decorations on the wall. We bought the crib and I got antsy and set it up myself. I know it's early but since we were going gender neutral either way we were able to pick out colors and furniture finishes pretty early.

I know I've got 19 weeks left but I'm itching to get everything else done. We're buying an unfinished dresser and staining and glossing it ourselves to match the finish on the crib and DH wants me to wait but I'm worried that if I wait too much longer I'll be too big to help out. We're doing a jungle theme with our main colors in sage green, pastel sienna and espresso finishes.

What themes are you ladies doing? Are you sticking to certain colors? Do you want to have the nursery done early or do you feel like it's bad luck?

We were looking around Hobby Lobby the other day and picked up some really cute wall decals. While we were there we saw a lot of purple, pink and blue decorations and a good portion of them were on sale.

We just moved back to my husband's hometown 6 months ago and into our own house one month ago (after staying w/ the inlaws for the other 5 months).  We have the nursery set up where my 13 month old is still sleeping, but once my new baby girl isn't sleeping in our room - a couple months after being born, we'll move my son to his new room...for her, we'll probably get new bedding, but the walls are already a light green, so they're pretty gender neutral, and the furniture will be the same - it's all cherry colored wood.  I think we have more work to do to set up my son's room when he gets big boy furniture! :-)
