Wow! So many of you knew right away!

I didn't know until I was already past 6 weeks!  After four years of TTC I got really used to sore boobs, spotting, nausea, etc. because those were my symptoms every time my period was about to start.  So this past March was no different.  I also never ovulated so my cycles would be 22 to 60+ days long so I just figured the spotting was my period trying to start but just not yet.  I also figured my body was just going to have another long cycle.

Well for my birthday my BFF came from CT to visit me and she wanted to go out drinking.  She didn't know that I hadn't had a drink since New Year's so I told her I didn't feel like it.  She got upset so I just told her "I'm two weeks late."  Because of the way my cycles are I really didn't think I was but used it as my excuse anyway.  I didn't think she would insist on me taking a HPT.  I kept saying "What's the point.  I'm not pg so it doesn't matter."  But I took one anyway and immediately two really dark lines showed up!  It's the first time I've ever taken the test and NOT got my hopes up.

And honestly?  Because of my history I'm not even sure I would have taken a test to this day because I would have figured my body was just being stupid again.

With my first child  I did not know I was pregnant until I was almost 3 months.  I have been working and going to school so intensely that I was not paying attention to my period.  At the time, my periods ran like clock work.  That I believe was just me not paying attention to my body.  I also have a high tolerance for pain, so I know for a fact I had ignored every symptom I had with my daughter.

With my second child (my son), I knew that I was pregnant before the pregnancy test said positive.  There was a favorite restaurant in my neighborhood I visited frequently ( for the special sauce).  Anyway I went to my usual place ordered the food I always ordered and I could not even finish the first bite before getting sick.  All of a sudden, the very smell of the food turned my stomach, and I could not understand why.  At first I thought it was food poisoning, but quickly realized that was not it because I did not have all of the symptoms.  Like a ton of bricks I also realized that I was a week late for my period and at the time it was still regular.  So I bought the first HPT test and it was negative, and I decided to wait a week.  This was the longest week of my life because daughter (first child) just turned 8 years old at the time.  She was 2 and a half weeks overdue and 29 hours of labor.  Nobody thought I was going have anymore children (especially me).  After that week of waiting was up, I finally worked up the nerve to go to the Drug Store and bought 6 Hpt's test and a pack of cigarettes. (At the time I did smoke them even though they were never around my daughter.)   I became so nervous that I could not go to the bathroom and I regret to say I smoked a cigarette just so that I can go.  Obvious to say, I did not finish that pack or that one cigarette that I lit because, not even 30 seconds later did the Htp test turn positive.  Consequently I forgot that I had my friend on the phone and she I guess she figured out what was going on, because the next thing I tried to do was call my husband and I couldn't understand why  the phone didn't work until she called my name.  I told her I would call her back, call my husband and told him to come home now we need to talk.  I know I freaked him out, and he did get home within the hour, but during that time I had took 4 other Htp test with the same results.  When got there I showed him the results them finally read the box that said "all test turn positive after ten minutes"  So I took that test with him there ( maybe I was hoping it would say negative at the time, I was kind of still in denial) and of course it was positive.  The only other reason why I was freaking out about this, was because I believe that we were not financially ready for another child.  I'm happy to say we made it work.  This time around I believe we are more financially stable to have this one which is why we were TTC since Aug. of 2010.

With this pregnancy now, I took the Htp test without thinking about it because I thought it was going to be negative.  Every since my husband and I began to TTC, my period became extremely irregular.  I went without a period from Sept.27th to Dec1st with negative Htp.  January it was on time, February was 10 days late, March I was heading into 3 weeks late.  I thought it must be stress but I will take the test to prove to my husband that I was right.  After I went to the bathroom, my son started to cry about something so I washed my hands and went to check on him about a minute later I came back into the bathroom to do something (I forgot what that something was now) I saw a positive Htp test.  Again I called for my husband to come (except this time he was just in the living room), I showed him the test and the rest was history.  Needless to say that were both very happy about this, I just wish I had done that after work instead of before work.  I could not focus on my job the whole day and that is a big no no for working where I work.

I knew I was pregnant with my 2nd baby (lost my 1st to mc June last year) before I even got my positive HPT. I got my 1st positive HPT at 9 dpo. Also had no symptoms, I just knew!! :)

I don't even know why I did a HPT that day, just did one out of the blue. I didnt get my hopes up either. I took the test left it in the bathroom, completely forgot about it. Went to the loo an hour later and had a faint pink line.
Sometimes you just get the feeling :)
Am now 9wk3d and already beginning to show!!
