Uterine lining

Hello...I hope someone can help me...

I am on Progynova (Estrogen) to increase my cervical lining for next Weeks IVF with donor egg. I have been on these meds for 7 days, and today I will begin taken 6 mgs a day. My cervical lining today was 5mm. Should I be worried about it increasing in 9 days time? Can I hear about your experiences? How much did yours increase on a daily or weekly basis while on Estrogen? I am hoping for at least 7 mm and above.

Thanks, Lauren

Well, when I test at 9dpo, I only get positives with an Uruguayan dip- the- stick- in- a- cup brand. And even using those it popped up later once. I never get them that early with the others. Ugh I hate the mega -early BFN, it sets the tone for the week. I hope you get a surprise in the next few days...

Hi Lauren,

Yes but an negatvie, not feeling so positive now.... but will wait and see.
When I had the polyp removed I was told I had to wait 6 weeks before transfer as they wanted the uterus to be a fully sterile enviroment?
Good luck and will be following your progress!

Another update: A little spotting, but with or without the spotting my doc is  concerned with having the hysteroscopy so close to transfer. That said, we will make the embryo with a fresh egg, and then implant mid-August with a natural cycle (see above comment).

Did you test?

Update: No polyp!!!!! But now she says if I bleed from the hysteroscopy I still have to postpone, and I just now (15 minutes after), noticed my urine had a tint of pink when I wiped. Maybe that doesn't constitute a bleed. Just another hurdle...;)

Yes, it could have been implantation, too! I'll think of you tomorrow!

Guess what?! My lining grew 2mm and is 7.4! I couldn't believe it.  I was so happy until she noticed what could be a very small polyp (.05). I have a hysteroscopy today at 4 to see if it is one, and if it is, we will determine if it will be safe to have the procedure this weekend.  Always something!... Oh well....

Baby dust again to you:)

Hey Mate,

Well guess what?  No pains today!  I am going to be positive and hope for the best!  Implantation????  I thought it was all over yesterday, emotional! teary, grumpy, cramping!  Actually felt nauseaous, not happy! and today? Fine!  Having a lovely day! ha ha!

Yes tomorrow will be 10days past transfer (not past Ovulation) so in actual fact it will be day 13 as it is a 3 day embryo...pretty sure thats how it goes!
So will POAS and see what happens?

Good luck tomorrow with the endo!  I hope you have a nice thick juicy one and at least you have time up your sleeve to keep working on it!

Thanks for the baby dust!

Every time I've been pregnant, I've had period cramps a few days before my period normally came, and like you said, progesterone really mimics pre- menstrual symptoms. Plus, I used to really document every cramp and twinge, but after review, I found that I had the same exact symptoms before I got  the BFPs as I did when I got the BFNs! Needless to say I stopped documenting things. I hope you get your BFP on Tuesday, but so you know, for two pregnancies I got my BFPs at 10dpo, and for another, I didn't get my BFP until 15dpo!  (Tomorrow I check for lining growth, and then I have until the end of the week.)

Baby duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust and good vibes sent your way!!!!!!!!

Hey Lauren,

I am 7dpt with a 3 day embie today so thought I would HPT test on Tuesday at the earliest.... that will make me 9dpt.  Fingers crossed!
But I must say I have had a downer of a day today, real crampy, like I am going to get my AF but who really knows ?  The progesterone pessaries do the same thing.  So one minute I am super negative and then I am super positive ah the 2ww!  Such a rollercoaster!!!
Look out 7 days to go! May they go quickly! and we both get a BFP!!!

I actually have 7 days! Yahoo! Along with the new estrogen gel application, I added baby aspirin to the protocol, and upped my water intake. To get through it, I also have to tell myself there is a reason beyond the physical as to why it will or wont workout this time, and that when the time is right, it will be right.

Yes, my doctor told me that despite what I have heard, both fresh and frozen work equally as well. I am excited you are in the two week wait. I guess you'll be testing real soon.

Good luck to you, too, and I'll keep you posted!

Hi Lauren,

Sorry to hear that about the thickening... but hey you still have 4 days!
I hear what you are saying about being bummed... I was having a Fresh Transfer but during our first scan they discovered a uterine polyp and my FS advised me to have it removed.  Consequently my Fresh Transfer was out of the question.  Donor embryos put in the freezer to wait for me.  That took 47 days to get my period due to Syneral and the Pill.  Usually regular as clock work!  So this is my first cycle on a Frozen Embryo Transfer.  So hoping the wait will be worth it.  Lets hope you get lots of good eggies and that you can rest easy.  I was disappointed not being able to have a Fresh but from what I have read it really makes no difference?   Good Luck and keep in touch!

Well my lining only  thickened a smidgen in 4-days (hovering over 5mm). Apparently when you get an injection to stop ovulation, your body doesn't naturally produce estrogen, thus, your body only relies on the pills. The good news is, my donor needs 4 days longer than expected, so I have until next weekend to become more "thick." My doctor added estrogen gel along with the pills. I hope it works or I could be postponed 1 or 2 months depending on if I want to go with a frozen cycle, or natural cycle with either a fresh or frozen egg :( I am bummed and sad, but I have faith in the journey.  What cycle day are you on?

Thats right, no back up all!  Just my natural cycle which they followed closely!
So now it is the 2ww......
So if you need to know anything else feel free to ask.  Good luck to you too!  Love the optomism!
and yes Grade 1 is the best quality here in OZ.  How do they grade over there?  I would suggest you ask if you don't know?
Chow for now!

PS I didn't trust my own body to continue to make progestone for the endo lining, guess I freaked out a bit even though my FS didn't think that I needed it.
Ah well at least he was happy to run with me cause like you say some FS won't....

THANK YOU!!!

So are you saying that your 3mm increase happened without the help of added Estrogen? This helped soooo much, as I was about 5mm on CD9, too (with about 9 days to go before my transfer). I go again on Friday for a check. You really put my mind at ease because wondering about my lining is as hard as the two week wait! I don't know anything about the grading system, but a "1" sounds good!  That is so great that you got progesterone back up. Like you, my doctor and I like the  "won't- hurt- might- help"  philosophy. Better safe than sorry, and 400 mgs is what I take after ovulation. Good luck to you, too.  We will be preggers in no time!!!!

Hi Lauren,

I have just had my donor FET done on Sunday, I did a natural cycle and my endometrium lining was 5mm thickness on first scan at day 9 (Friday 27th May) they did another on the following Wednesday and it had thickened to 8mm  Bt showed I was about to have LH surge which I did on the Thursday POAS, I ovulated on Friday the 3rd and the transfer was done on Sunday morning.  I asked the nurse what my endo will be by then and was told it could be anything from a 10 to a 12mm thickness!  Apparently that is great!  My embie that was put back in was graded a 1, 8 cell. but.... I had two nurses and a different FS query as to why I hadn't been put on progesterone back up?  Apparently it has to do with my age (47) not the donor age.... so I asked my FS and for my own peace of mind he has put me on a daily 400mg Progesterone pessary for endo back up for when the embie burrows in!

I hope that this is helpful to you, I also have the other tablets that you are talking about, which were for a fresh embryo transfer that didn't happen due to me having a polyp discovered when we were having our scans done, consequently all embryos were frozen and I had polyp removed.
Good luck with it all!

I meant uterine lining not "cervical."
