Da vinci or laporoscopic surgery?

Hi everyone,  what a relief to find this forum! I have discovered I have a 5.7 cm dermoid cyst on my left ovary, to be confirmed during surgery (on 5/14/12). I have to decide if I will do Da vinci robotic surgery or laparoscopic surgery (without the robot) by tomorrow. Does anyone have any input or suggestions? My surgeon said that the scars are larger and higher on the torso (just under ribs) using Da vinci but there is more torq with laparoscopy during surgery, therefore more stretching of the abdominal wall during the procedure. I am terrified of the whole thing.:(  I welcome anyone's input. Thank you!

Hi This is my first time on this site; hopefully I can get some answers...

I have felt really tired lately, missed period now for 4 weeks, 42 yrs. old. Achy and sore, low back, legs etc. Several months ago my doctor from a cyst on my left ovary; but wasn't concerned because it wasn't growing. But now I've missed my period, look like I'm 7 months preg., bloating etc. Called Dr. just haven't heard back. Any ideas what this could be ?

For me I had to remove 8cm cyst on my right ovary last 3 weeks ago.My operation is laparosopic. I found very tiny scars on my abdominal. After one week,I became normal and no pain at all.No need to worry...;)
