My husband suffered heat exhaustion a few days ago. He ran a fever of 101 all night w/ sweating off and on. Thinking he would be in the a/c he went back to work the next day and had to be outside to fix a part on the equipment he was running which set him off to a severe headache, he quit sweating, dry and hot, his muscles were starting to cramp and he said he felt like he could vomit, but never did. He had all the symptoms of a stroke, but didn't lose consciousness. When he finally got home, he got on the couch and ran fever of 100+ all night. He was bad enough he didn't try to go to work today. His fever broke this morning from 100.5, but has come back and I don't know how to get it down. He is trying to drink plenty of water and just rest only, staying in the a/c. But he said he has a horrible headache. This morning, I was told by a nurse that he probably just had a sinus headache, and after giving him sinus meds, it lightened up a great deal, but gave him them again mid-day and they aren't seeming to work, so I am at a loss of how to help him at least get rid of this headache, so he can just rest and stay cool for a few days so his body can recoup. Thank you in advance for any help!
