The fastest worst Labor I have ever had!! 8/6/13

So my baby has arrived!! And boy let me tell you was it traumatic!! I went for a sceduled induction. At midnight the placed cervodil on my cervix and informed me that it was to ripen my cervix then 12 hrs later they were gonna hang pitocin. After the cervodil was placed I had my 1st contraction 5 minutes later. After about an hr I was at 3cm with steadily progressively painful contrax. After hr 2 i was at a 4cm and begging for nubain...I also requested that my nurse get the epidural ready...From hour 3 to 4 I had dialated to a 5cm and the anesthesiologist was on his was in...when I sat up to get preped for epidural My contrax went to the worst pain/pressure ever...the nurse made me lay back dwn because she felt somthing was wrong with baby/and me...in the next 20 mins I dialated from that 5cm to 10cm and noone had the chance to break anything down or prep room..my water broke everywhere and my body pushed baby out w/in 5 mins of water breaking! Meanwhile im in delerious pain!! It was amazing and painful... I just wanted to share...my labors usually take 20 to 24 hours  and they are easy going this took 4hrs...!! Feel free to ask any questions. This is my 3rd child. ;-)  I was at 40+2 and it was my first time being over due...

Yes I was dialated to 2cm prior to coming to the hosp. And thank you. Everyone keeps telling me that after its all said and done im lucky that I went so fast! Wow it sure was traumatic but now that I have gone thru it...I understand it ;))

Were you dilated or anything at all before they started the induction? Congrats on the birth of your little one, I'm sorry it was awful, but at least it wasn't longer than it ended up being !

Wow congrats ..... I'm glad u had ur baby I'm still 4days over due now and lost my plug last night but haven't had pain yet I'm scheduled for induction on Saturday wish me good luck .... They said if I don't have lain after induction they will sent me home to take the pain and then come back ... But I really don't want come back home after ......

Well wowie lol what weight was baby? Im 27 weeks with third. I have never thought induction would take less than a day or two! My first labour was 6 hours and perfect, only gas and air water birth, daughter weighed 7lbs and born 39+4. my waters broke as my daughter came into the world. Second was 6 hours, son weighed 8lb 3oz, 40+2 and began with membrane sweep 2 days earlier. excrutiating back to back labour but went too quick for epidural so intrigued to see how this little one welcomes the world. With my second labour its making me scared of another labour like it but i want it to go like my first. Would love a matter of 3/4 hours for labour, gets it over with quicker lol congrats and well done!! Dreading the afterpains :/
