I remover my mirena myself just a couple weeks ago.. I know they say not to but I searched videos and really studied the way to do it before I did it myself. I knew that if I felt any pull to stop and not continue. I tugged on the string and just after 10 seconds it was out and I felt instant relief! I have had it for about a year.. I had it placed 6 weeks after giving birth to my daughter. I was so depressed the last year, mood swings, weight gain, and simply not myself. I wasn't sure if I would ever feel normal. I wasn't having regular periods and my last straw was thinking I had a miscarriage of some sort bc my body discharged what looked like a embryo. My doctor wouldn't remove it unless I paid in full what my insurance wouldn't and I just didn't have 300 extra dollars just laying around. I am not saying you should remove it yourself at all! But I am saying if you are not happy, it might not be for you! Maybe schedule an appointment to get it removed? I am back to myself already, I have motivation, my cramps are gone, I have already lost 15 pounds and I am eating the same. I know mirena works for a lot of women, but it didn't work right for me. I hope you find something to help you!
I feel the same as you. And, I do experience other side effects too. I feel like being diffrent person; being unhappy, irritated, and anxious. I developed problems with sleeping and having frequent headaches. if my doctor would inform me about the possible side effects, I would never agreed to have that Mirena inserted. It is just the business. I do believe it is not healthy. Before the insertion, I was told " it would be something like $300.00". And after the insertion, I was asked to pay $550.00. I am sick and tired of Mirena and all of that I have to experience. Before I was happy and cheerful and now, I feel down. I do not want to be put on the antidepressants and to be more skewed up.
