A related discussion,
Pain on chest was started.
What exactly is a musculoskeletal disease?
"e.g. pulled muscle, rib strain, chostocondritis, etc."

I have a comment in my prior question from ccf that my problem could be musculoskeletal. I have no idea what that means could you please clarify
It could be musculoskeletal but be sure to keep your doctor informed of any changes.
I've had a pain in my chest for about 3 weeks now. I've had several ekg's done and also two echos, but they are always negative. The pain is right above my right breast and there's also some swelling there. I've taken several different medications, i.e., ibuprofen 600 and I am now taking naproxen 500 mg. to treat it. Nothing seems to be working. Most of the time it's a burning pain. The pain also moves around from time to time.
Of course as a cardiologist the thing I worry about the most when I hear chest pain is the heart. I would get this checked out to make sure it is not something more serious than indigestion.
