Hello mothers or soon to be mama bears! I delivered my little man 4 days ago. I had to have an emergency c section. Does anyone have any advice for me on caring for my body after surgery? I'm doing all the research i can and I know the obvious stuff like rest and don't lift anything but your baby. But have any of you experienced a c section and have anything you did personally to get you a speedy and safe recovery?

I've had my third c-section on Dec.31 and I have a 8 and 7 year old daughters. So far I have been healing great.I was a little worried at first when I went home for the first time,my incision had two small areas that seem like it wasn't closing. (Cut look like it was open still, little redness, and it smelled). This was my first time receiving staples so do believe my skin reacted to them. So I have call my Doctor, and went to see the nurse that removed my staples and she said it looked great,no infections. Just let it get air. My first two c-sections seem more painful then this one. Then also I am nursing with this baby!

So I just recommended:
1.) Just try to relax
2.) Don't be afraid to ask for help.
3.) Just keep you cut clean and dry
4.) If your nursing make sure you eat and shower so you can be relax ,so you won't get frustrated.Babies can sense it and they won't latch on you.
With the nursing the shield help me a lot for my first 2 weeks till my nipple healed.
5.) Last one!
PRAY!Don't isolate your self. I pray a simple prayer even if I didn't want to,or didn't feel like it,or just to tried. Just say God give me strength,Thank you,or just hold me. He hears you and your not alone. He loves all mothers were are a blessing to this world.

I also had an emergency c section...I'm having issues with breastfeeding and milk production. My baby also had a tongue tie (which was corrected at 6 days old) and we're trying to get her to latch with a breast shield...having issues too. Help.
