He said that they can see if its by bisopy and the syptoms don't match with the people who have ic.
My symptoms are:
A contant urge to urinate in the mornings, which dulls down during the day.
He said that they can be just stress and can be easy to treat.
So I'm going to give these tablets a try.
Yes, Hunners ulcers are recognizable, but even they don't have to be present to have IC.
What does your new doctor say will show up on biopsy? Sometimes, nothing does; they have to go by symptoms, which are urinary urgency, frequency, bladder spasms, pain, burning without infection, etc. Since those symptoms can be present with other conditions, such as overactive bladder, they have to rule out everything else.
They didn't
They did a biopsy.
I saw a new doctor two days ago, and he said it's very unlikely, as it would have shown up on the Biopsy.
Plus I've heard that Hunners Ulcers are recognisable instantly.
I have been given some low level anti depressants. I'm fairly certain I don't have it. Thanks for your advice though :)
You don't necessarily have to get up at night to have IC... I rarely get up at night and I have it.
I'm assuming the red spot was on the wall of your bladder? Did your doctor happen to mention a Hunner's ulcer?
If the symptoms persist, you may have to find a different doctor.
Did they check your urine for infection and start you on an antibiotic? That's the usual treatment for a urinary tract infection. IC is a chronic pain very much like a UTI, but a UTI is much more common and easy to get.
