Birth story!
We just welcomed our 2nd boy on the 21st. We were overdue 40w5d when we got to the hospital. They wanted to start with thinning my cervix as my body was NOT budging towards labor at all. I had to wear the cervadil (sp) for 12 hours before they checked me, and it did NOTHING! We went ahead and started on pitocin, and after 2 hours I was having regular contractions. Then my body just rejected the pitocin. We decided to shut it off and rest through the night. The next morning we started at 5 am with the pitocin, and broke my water 2 hours later after dilating to 3 and more progress with thinning. I went from 4 cm to 10 cm within 20 minutes and finally gave birth. Our baby boy is the spitting image of his older brother, weighing just 1oz less than he did. 7lbs 3oz and 19 inches long. In love and overjoyed with our little blessing!
