So the dr said i have a slight yeast infection nothing to worrie about they just want to treat it before it gets to the piont it needs to be reconized the next day and i have so much swelling it hurts i made some home made witch hazle pads thanks to my fiance who had no idea what it even was and im feeling alot better in swelling im just not sure where all the swelling and pain is from does anyone have any ideas

Thank you im going to try that cuz it has gotten worse and they have day and night over here witch seams better ill forget it before bed cuz tired day at work but remember it in the morning and hopefully it is gone and better in no time

Oh my gosh, I had a yeast infection out of nowhere last weekend and I forgot how bad those feel. I was so uncomfortable and not just from itching.  I used the one day Monostat ovule.  I used it before bed and wore a pad.  No joke, better the next day.  Whew, it worked fast thank goodness.  Witch hazel is good for relief but not so much for the actual yeast infection. The swelling and pain are from the yeast infection.  I had it too! I went from normal to THAT in an instant (no slow build up).  Can you call your ob/gyn?  They can either prescribe diflucan which is a pill you take to knock out yeast or you can go the OTC route like I did but best to check in with your doctor first, especially if you've never used it.  The witch hazel will temporarily make you feel better but will not control the yeast situation.  Then try eating probiotic yogurt or taking a probiotic supplement to help.  Cotton panties, air dry, etc.  good luck
