Miscarriages??

My doctor told me that I'm about 4-6 weeks pregnant. She couldn't give me a for sure estimate. Well she gave me an ultrasound and said that she couldn't see a heart beat. And thought I might be having a miscarriage. She also saw little flecks I guess, and a little bit of blood. I did some research and I found that some women don't see a heart beat until their like 8-10 weeks pregnant. My mother didn't see a heart beat with any of her kids untill she was about 9 weeks pregnant. And she's had 5 kids lol! Is there someway that my doctor might be mistaken?

Definitly give it some time before giving up on your baby.  This happened to my sister... and it turned out that she had conceived later than what her LMP had been.. so, basically she became pregnant without having a period.

Yes. My co-worker had the same experience (not sure about the flecks of blood) when she went for her first ultrasound and she is now due in 5 weeks!
