New to this forum

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum because my due date was August 30th and since it is now Sept 1st, I no longer qualify to have an August baby. So here is my story for those of you who are keeping up with everyone. This was a suprise pregnancy for sure. I stopped having periods last year in October and so after two months of no periods, I went to my doctor who decided it might be because I have been on birth control for so long. I went to see her on December 3rd, 2007 and she told me to stay off birth control for a month and see if anything happens. When January 4th came around, there was still no period. My boyfriend had fallen asleep on the couch and since I felt a little uneasy about not having my period, so at about 9:30 I snuck out to Walgreens and bought an EPT test and decided I would try one more time to see if something had developed. Turns out, it was positive. I remember the word 'pregnant' popping up after less than a minute. My heart started pumping super fast and I started having heat flashes. I ran into the living room and woke my boyfriend up. He was in such a shock from me being so panicky that he actually thought he was late for work or something. It was too cute. Then I told him I was pregnant and showed him the test. He just kinda laughed and said "let's just go to bed." and so started my pregnancy journey.

I had an amazing pregnancy. No complications, just perfect. Until June 9th. I was at work when I started spotting a little. I went to the dr 2 days later and they couldn't find out where the bleeding was coming from. So I was put on bedrest because it still worried my doctor. On July 21st, I started bleeding again, only this time it was soooo much! I went in to see the doctor again that day. He tested everything. After half an hour on the ultrasound machine, he discovered that I had hemmoriods. I couldn't feel them at all, but it sure gave me a scare. It's quite possible that could be what happened the first time as well. On July 24th, I went in to see the dr for my regular check up and I had started to dialate. Only to 1 cm though. I stayed at 1 cm this entire time. I have not experienced ANY contractions at all. Not even braxton hicks! My due date came and went and now I'm due to go into the dr on Tuesday the 2nd for a NST. My baby hasn't even dropped. My cervix is still so high and hard. My boyfriend and I have tried everything from sex to walking to drinking red raspberry tea to doing squats and yoga. Still nothing. Hopefully I can convince my dr to induce me on Tuesday. I cannot miss any of my phlebotomy classes which are fridays or else I'll be forced to drop out to which I cannot afford either. Also, Tuesday is my boyfriends last day on his long change and he goes back to work wednesday night for 7 days of graveyards. I believe I have legitimate reasons to be induced and I'm hoping it goes smoothly. So that's my story. Sorry it's so long, but for those of you who like to keep up with all our stories, it was worth the read huh? Well anyway, I know how all you ladies are feeling! I was so excited when August 1st came around and I kept saying to myself, "I can't believe I'll be having my baby before the end of the month!" since I was so convinced I'd give birth before my due date. I hope all you ladies have safe and healthy labors and babies!!!

aww! January 4th is my daughters birthday, I found out I was pregnant this time around on January 5th!

Good luck to you tomorrow! I am hoping for induction tomorrow as well but I don't think it will happen. I have high blood pressure and the baby is already estimating around 7 pounds 3 ounces(last Thursday). I am also 2-3 centimeters and 60% effaced(also last tuesday).
Keeping my fingers crossed for us all!
