never ending breast tenderness

i'm 14 weeks and still having severe breast tenderness. my dr originally gave me tylenol #3 and now won't refill it because i don't think he believes me. i thought for the longest time that it would go away as i went into the second trimester but i don't think it is. i can't exercise like i used to and am in constant pain all over both breasts and nipples. does anyone else have or had this problem? did it go away eventually in the second trimester of later?

it's normal...maybe none of his other patients have complained... but you can even google it, it's a normal sign and occurance during pregnancy

mine has actually increased over the last week, and I am starting to have colostrum now...  ugh... the joys...

i just wanted to know if this was something that other people had because my ob is treating me like i'm crazy saying that he has never had a patient complain of this. it scared me that it wasn't normal or that something was wrong with my hormones.

With my first kid, I didn't have any tenderness until right before I had her, and with my son, my second child, OMG I had it the entire pregnancy and actually went up 4 cup sizes, and then went up 2 more after when I started Breastfeeding.  With this baby, I'm in the 2nd trimester and it's still bugging me!

What I am trying to say is, everyone is different, every pregnancy is different, and there is really no way to tell when or if it will stop.

You may just have to deal with it, because my doctor told me, and I have experienced this, there isn't really anything you can do to stop it!  Sorry that this doesn't help much, but I thought I'd tell you!

when did the breast tenderness go away for you with the first baby? was it there the entire time?

With my 1st, the breast tenderness was HORRIBLE.  I can't tell you how long it lasted because I didn't have access to all these fancy trackers and stuff 10 years ago.  With my 2nd and 3rd I don't recall any soreness at all.  So far, I am 11w6d w/#4 and my bbs are still tender--not as bad as you, but still noticeable.  You might try checking with a lactation consultant and see if they have any ideas.  Get a good supportive bra too.

BTW, m/s is ALSO supposed to go away after the 1st trimester, but I was sick for 14 weeks or more with the 1st and maybe a little longer with the next 2 (just not a severely).
