2 miscarriages, & no babies. What can I do?

We have been married for 3 years, and have been ttc for those 3 years. We got pregnant twice & both time miscarried. The latest just a week ago. I am overweight (320), but my GYN doesn't seem concerned about that, since we have gotten pregnant twice. I am also 42 years old, and my husband is 56 years old. He has had an SA and everything looks great!
I have an appt for the 28th to have a complete workup and see if we can find a cause for the miscarriages, but my question is this. Can my weight and age be the real factor? If so, is there a way (besides the obvious weight loss) to improve the health of my eggs?

Age is indeed a factor. At age 42 there is a decreased chance of success and increased risk of miscarriage and chromosomal anomalies. While you cannot do anything about the age, you can do something about the weight. Good diet, weight loss and exercise can help fertility but age will still have an important impact on success of fertility.
